Disrupting Manufacturing With Parts On Demand (POD) Platform
Are you interested in 3D printing, material science, and on-demand manufacturing? ODMS has built a PARTS-ON-DEMAND platform that uses 3D printing (FDM and SLA) and metal casting techniques to manufacture parts on demand. ODMS’ platform allows our customers to manufacture parts when they need them and where they need them. Our Print-To-Cast Platform (metal cast parts from 3D prints) is in testing with partners in the maritime and aviation industries.
Engineering Intern (HW/SW): This is a hands-on software and hardware oriented position requiring background and interest in 3D printing, materials science, and 3D modelling. This position will work closely with our development team actively participating in the design, development, prototype, assembly and testing of a new product initiatives. This is a great opportunity for hands on experience and to contribute to the creation of a disruptive technology. Coursework in 3D printing, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, CAD, computer science or optical engineering a plus!
A few things to know about this position:
Position is unpaid. We support CPT/OPT and academic credit internships (if your school offers these programs).
Compensation available based on performance/contribution and long term role at ODMS.
Requires a minimum ~20 hrs per week (depending on role and responsibilities).
Requires a minimum commitment of 1-2 months (longer commitments - a plus!).

ODMS manufactures desktop 3D scanners. Our first scanner, the SugarCube scanner is optimized for scanning ear impressions and creating ready to print 3D models for the manufacturing of custom fit earpieces (hearing aids, music headsets, BlueTooth, and hearing protection). We are recruiting engineers who have a passion for TECH and who want to solve novel problems in the computer vision and 3D modelling space.
This is a hands-on software and hardware oriented position requiring interest in the area of photogrammetry optical scanning, geometrical and diffraction theory, analysis and tolerances.
This position will work closely with our production team actively participating in the design, development, prototype and assembly of a new product initiatives.

Coursework in Computer Science or Optical Engineering, strong mathematical background in computer vision, image processing, 3D reconstruction and applied statistics, knowledge of computational geometry and 3D processing algorithm
